The 3rd round of the Fraser Cup took place at the Galleon on Tue 24 Oct with Peter Galloway subbing for Ronnie Peat who was competing at Greenacres in a Reform Cup event. Once again, the Galleon ice and environment was in fine shape for a very competitive game between Team Begg (Begg, Graham, McFadzean and Stubley) and Team Galloway (Galloway, Gray, Morrison and Charters). In the first end, Team Galloway secured a 3 shots lead but Team Begg quickly recovered their poise to score well in the next 2 ends to draw 3 all at the start of the 4th end. Thereafter, it was a very tight game with the final score of each end relying on the Skip stones. Team Galloway managed a single stone steal for the final 4 ends to shake hands 7-3 winners.
