Gangrels beaten in Final of Parish Trophy

Yesterday saw the Semi Finals and Final of the Parish Trophy.

In the first Semi Final, Galston beat Tarbolton and in the other our Gangrels team  beat Troon Portland.

The Final saw the Galston Haymouth team of Jim Boswell, Liam Scott, Tom Andrews and Ed Baines beat the Gangrels team of Steell McFadzean, David Gray, Ernest Mutter and Peter Galloway.

Congratulations to Steell and his team for representing the Gangrels so well

President's Cup Top 4 Decided

The last week of play in the league format resulted in 3 teams on 6 points and 2 on 5. The unlucky 5th place was Peter Kennedy's team, who lost to Colin Naismith tonight and finished up 2 ends behind George Hay for the semi final place.

David Gray beat Richard Morrison and Peter Galloway beat Allan Hastie.

The four semi finalists to play on Feb 10th at 5.00 pm are Colin Naismith, Ronnie Peat, Jim Dunlop and George Hay.

Please remember that the winners of the semis go on to play the final immediately after on Feb 10th.

Next week is the first round of the Kirkbride Rosebowl

President's Cup - Latest

There were wins last night for Allan Hastie, and Robert Boyd, while Peter Galloway and Ronnie Wilson shared the spoils at 7 shots each.

Allan skipped the Peat team to a 9-2 victory over Ken Ross and his Charlie Jack team. Robert was having a fairly close game with Richard Morrison when ends 6 to 8 brought scores of 2, 6 and 1 to finish the game 13-3.

The final league games are next week, after which the top four will play the semi finals.

President's Cup Weeks 2 and 3

Last week Ernest Mutter skipped the Kennedy rink to a 6-4 win over Jimmy Niblock, in charge of the McCrossin rink.  In the other game David Gray, in charge of the Jim Dunlop team, beat Ken Ross (Charlie Jack) by 8 shots to 4.

Tonight, there were wins for Ronnie Wilson (P Kennedy) over D Gray (J Dunlop) by 8 shots to 4 and Allan Hastie (R Peat) over P Reynolds (C Naismith) by 6 shots to 4.
The tightest game seemed to be Peter Galloway (G Hay) beating Ken Ross (C Jack) by 4 shots to 3.
